We built this because our own sites were failing it

What actually happened

In August 2026 we audited the seventeen websites we run for ourselves and for clients. We expected a tidy report. Instead we found three things, and each one is now a check in this tool:

• A Cloudflare master switch was blocking AI crawlers on sites we owned, and it locked the per-bot settings so nobody could see which ones. Turning it off took one click. Nobody had known it was on.
• Six of our properties had Bing Webmaster Tools accounts with no sitemap in them. ChatGPT Search and Copilot read Bing's index. Six sites were invisible to both, quietly, for months.
• A model was answering questions about us using another company's facts — a near-identical brand name, same country, same category. Our schema was fine. Our entity was ambiguous, which is a different problem entirely.

Why is the tool so cautious about what it claims?

Because in a young category the easiest way to make money is to quote a confident number, and the fastest way to lose a client is for that number to be wrong. We would rather ship a smaller claim we can defend line by line.

• Every finding carries the evidence we measured, reproducible with curl.
• A rate limit is never reported as a block, and a request we chose not to send is marked "not tested".
• Readiness and recommendation stay two separate numbers, always.
• Where a measurement is impossible from outside — Google AI Overview traffic, for instance — we publish nothing rather than an estimate.
